Local alumni sections are very important to the Alumni Association because they provide the opportunity for interaction with the national Alumni Association and a pipeline for two-way communication between individual alumni and the University. The goals and objectives of local sections are essentially the same as those of the Association itself: to strengthen and renew friendships formed in college days and to promote the interests of the Miner Alumni Association and Missouri S&T.
