Alumni have banded together in more than 46 locations across the United States and around the world, forming local alumni support groups known as sections. Alumni sections allow Miners to come together for leisure and networking activities as well as to learn more about the campus and provide active support for the campus. The alumni association office offers full support for these activities, including mailing invitations for all meetings, providing campus speakers upon request, training section leadership and recognizing outstanding section achievement. Activities of the individual sections are diverse and range in size from 10-200 alumni participants. This diversity includes alumni golf tournaments, picnics, dinners, receptions, St. Pat's parties, alumni lecture series and a wide variety of other activities.
